Worth the wait!

After a couple weeks of daily use, I can say that the pre-order was worth the wait! The workflow is excellent and very intuitive. I appreciate the pre-sets for grind profiles in terms of guidance with a new product. The grind adjustment is also fairly easy, so long as the screen does not fail. The only issue I have had was the magnetic ring on the bottom of the catch cup coming off due to ineffective adhesive, but that was easily solved with super glue. Thus far, the grinds retention has been minimal - maybe 0.1-0.2g.

I have also been very pleasantly surprised with the burr set itself. While I am not qualified to speak definitively on burr profile, but coming from a Pietro with Pro brew burrs, I have found no lack of clarity and a nice amount of sweetness without sacrificing too much brightness. I do miss some of the acidity from the Pietro, but it is really a marginal difference. My other pourover grinder was a C40 so the Bookoo Omni burrs don't swing quite as far in that direction and stay closer to the Pietro in cup quality.

The motor itself seems robust as it has not stalled at pourover settings while grinding light and ultralight coffees from H&S, Big Sur, XLIII, Aviary and ilse.

Batch 1 Review

Love it! So glad I got on the batch 1 preorder. The grinder works far better than expected and Bookoo team has been fast with responses throughout the whole process. Transparency on potential future upgrades/parts replacement has been amazing. Thanks Bookoo team!
